Sitting just south of the picturesque Santa Susana Mountains is the lovely city

One such nearby park with over 100 acre is open natural space is Chatsworth Park
South. The park contains portions of the Old Santa Susana Stage Road. The path was
once a stagecoach and covered wagon trail that connected the Los Angeles Basin and
Ventura County. Residents and visitors enjoy hiking this trail that has been declared
a Los Angeles City Historical Cultural Monument and a Ventura County Historical
Landmark. The park has miles of horseback, hiking, and jogging rails to be enjoyed.
The Recreation Center in the park has an indoor gymnasium with a stage and indoor
basketball courts. Outside there are picnic areas, a playground, and lighted basketball
and tennis courts. Guests can also visit the Minnie Hill Palmer House and Museum
which is one of the area's original homesteads.
Shopping choices are plentiful in Porter Ranch. There are brand name department
stores, specialty shops, boutiques, and markets located throughout the city. Those
looking for a fine dining experience, the cuisine of their choice, fast food to
take home, or a yummy dessert will not be disappointed. A wide variety of eateries
dot the city to provide the food of choice. If this is not enough there is a myriad
of other dining and shopping choices in surrounding communities as well.
Entertainment options are equally abundant. Neighboring communities offer a plethora
of choices from festivals and events to concerts and performances. Locals find it
