About North Harbor Gateway
North Harbor Gate is part of the larger harbor gateway, a less than six mile area
of residential and industrial neighborhood in Los Angeles. The region was originally
referred to as the 'Shoestring Strip' because it linked the port of Los Angels with
the Pacific port cities of Wilmington and San Pedro.
North Harbor Gate is an area between Vermont and Figueroa streets from 110th Street
to Arestia Boulevard to Central Avenue between Imperial Highwasy to 120th Street.
The nearby city of Gardena Valley provide many of the needs for the residents of
North Harbor Gate and the residential areas have been assigned a Gardena Valley
mailing address.
The area is conveniently located for commuters and is a hub for a number of bus
lines. California State Route 213 runs through the communities providing easy access
to both downtown Los Angeles to the north and the Pacific Ocean to the south.
The neighborhoods of North Harbor Gate offer a wide range of housing opportunities.
There are lovely single and multi-family home or varying styles, sizes, and prices.
Houses site on landscaped lawns with patios, there are some homes that sit behind
gates, and others nestled together with small quaint outdoors areas for relaxation.
There are also well designed condominium communities with units of all sizes, landscaped
areas for owner use, and amenities such as fitness centers.
Local children attend school in nearby Gardena. The Los Angeles Unified School District
oversees the public elementary, middle and high school. There are also a number
of private schools to choose from.

success, violence and gang prevents. The Center runs a food bank and a food distribution
and promotes youth education and recreation activities.

Dining opportunities in neighboring Gardena are abundant and provide a wide range

eateries. Steak and seafood restaurants are plentiful as well as eateries that offer
a wide range of cuisines. You can enjoy a wonderful family breakfast, a delicious
burger, wings, or deli sandwich for lunch or a fine dining experience relishing
your favorite dishes. It is equally easy to take your favorite food home to enjoy
on the patio.
Shopping options are also plentiful with brand name department stores, specialty
stores, and boutiques. There are also many supermarkets, grocery stores, specialty
food markets, and two local Farmer's markets to provide shoppers with ingredients,
meats, and produce for all of their favorite recipes.
Residents enjoy the amenities, activities and classes provided by the local Community
Center. Festivals, celebrations, and community events are also well attended. Additionally,
the beautiful beaches of the Pacific Ocean are just a short drive away, so many
pack the car and spend the day in the sand and the surf. p The community is also

While North Harbor Gateway is not an incorporated city it is a warm and welcoming
community that provides residents with lovely neighborhoods and inviting parks for

and warm California beaches are just a short drive away.
