Redondo Beach is located on the coastal edge of Los Angeles county about 20 minutes
from downtown L.A. and just seven miles from the Los Angeles International Airport.
It is known as a "preferred resort destination" as well as one of the most desirable
places to live in the country. The climate for Redondo Beach is enjoyable, with
average temperatures year-round mainly in the 70s.
This ocean city/bedroom community offers all types of attractions and provides a
safe place for fun and play. Once a commerical port, the city now has a pleasure
pier with one of a kind shops and restaurants, numerous water sport activities,
marinas, and much more - allowing you to enjoy beach living at it's best. The magnificent
sea front esplanade has been touted as one of the most romantic places in the world
from which to watch the sun set.
Redondo Beach offers a community of 15 parks (including a huge dog park), a recreational
waterfront featuring 2 miles of sandy beaches, Rendondo Beach Pier and King Harbor.
You will enjoy a variety of events year round, such as the performing arts, award
winning opera a state of the art library and so much more. From November to April,
you can whale watch as Gray Whales migrate through local waters, from Alaska to
Baja, Mexico and back. There is something for everyone.
Soak up the sun and scenery from the historic, horseshoe-shaped pier, meander along
the water's edge and explore the natural splendor, dive into a unique underwater
canyon or take a bike tour along the shore. The Hollywood Riviera section on the
south end of town offers ample shopping, strolling and dining opportunities.
Many of the residences are in North Redondo. The single-famile houses and condos
make for great neighbors and well-kept yards. Enjoy a sense of pride in community

The Redondo Beach Unified Schools consists of 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools
and 1 high school. In the past 4 years, 4 of the schools have earned the California
Distinguished School recognition. Redondo Union High School is consistently recognized
in the U.S. News and World Report, Newsweek and other national publications as "nationally
ranked" and "among the best" of the nations high schools.
