About Lakewood
Lakewood is a community in Los Angeles located south of the downtown area of the
city. Neighborhoods offers residents a welcoming exurb environment with lush landscaping

The neighborhood is home to Lakewood Center, on of the largest shopping centers
in the United States. You will find department stores, specialty shops, and boutiques.

time while you enjoy a quiet cup of coffee. The Center also has fine dining options
and a movie theater with 16 screens for a night out on the town. Open seven days
a week this shopping paradise is easy to get to and provides ample parking. Bus
services to the Center is also available. Additionally the community has smaller
malls and ample grocery stores within the area.
Lakewood boasts ten parks offering residents relaxation and recreation opportunities.
All of the parks have large beautifully landscaped areas for picnics and playing.

water aerobics, lifesaving, and gymnastics. One park is located adjacent to the
San Gabriel River and visitors can easily access the lovely bike trail that runs
along the riverbed. Another park maintains an equestrian center where horses are
boarded and riders can enjoy the winding trails. Residents are also able to rent
indoor and outdoor facilities for family gatherings, birthday parties, and weddings.
For those who enjoy a day at the shore the gorgeous beaches of the Pacific Ocean
are just a short drive away. Pack the car and spend a sunny California afternoon
