About Gardena
Gardena is a thriving city located in the heart of Los Angeles County's South Bay
(southwestern) region. Located only 20 minutes from downtown L.A. and Los Angeles
International Airport (LAX), Gardena real estate is envied for it's location as
a key point on the “Golden Triangle.”
Having earned the prestigious designation “All American City”, this region is one
of the most culturally diverse areas in the United States, including one of America's
oldest Japanese communities. This vibrant culture is apparent in the plethora of
shopping and dining opportunities available, and in the rich history of music presented
by the acclaimed annual Gardena Jazz Festival.
Being a small city of under 60,000, Gardena offers residents a real feeling of community.
Such community commitment is seen throughout the city, as businesses join with volunteer
groups to support civil projects and programs. Making you feel at home is one of
the things Gardena does best. The attractive, family-oriented neighborhoods provide
myriad of exciting real estate opportunities for families of all income levels.
Academic excellence is a high priority in Gardena. In addition to nine public and
five private elementary schools, the city has eight preschools. Peary Middle School
has a Math-Science magnet, and Gardena High School is the home of Southern California
International Business Academy. Gardena is also very proud of the highly respected
private Serra High School.
