Beverlywood is a small neighborhood, less than one square mile in size, that is
located in the Westside section of Los Angeles. It is a beautiful community with
tree-lined streets and lovely neighborhoods bordered on the west by a country club.
The community consists of single family homes neighborhoods and condominium and
townhouse complexes. There are houses built with a Spanish influence that is very
common in southern California, traditional single-family ranch style homes, and
modern designs marking the new trend in architecture. Some of the multi-family complexes
are located on beautiful grounds providing residents with lush surroundings and
others are situated in a more urban setting. All of the complexes provide home owners
with amenities such as exercise facilities and pools. This welcoming neighbor provides
homes to fit most needs and budgets.
Educational needs are provided by the Los Angeles Unified School District and a
number of local private schools. There is one public pre-school, four elementary
public schools, one public middle school, and one public high school. Five private
schools for elementary and high school students are conveniently located as well.
This quiet area is considered very safe and residents enjoy walking the beautiful
streets. Striving to be a quiet neighborhood and not a busy, highly commercial area
shopping and dining options are somewhat limited. That being said there are convenient
grocery stores, pharmacies, and specialty shops such as bakeries. Eateries include
delicatessens, restaurants offering a variety of cuisines, and lovely cafes. Resident
gladly to nearby neighborhoods where shopping and dining choices are plentiful.
Beverlywood is surrounded by other neighborhoods such as Century City, Cheviot Hills,
Culver City, and Beverly Hills. These nearby areas provide outstanding shopping,
dining, and recreation options for the residents of Beverlywood. One such convenience
is the 'Miracle Mile', a famous section of Wilshire Boulevard that is brimming with
restaurants, cafes, stores, shops, and boutiques. It is a great place to spend a
sunny California afternoon browsing the shops and sipping a cappuccino at a sidewalk
cafe. There are also many local parks that provide open green space for picnics
with playgrounds for the kids. It is easy for residents to find hiking and bike
trails as well as walking and jogging paths surrounded by beautiful foliage. Many
of the parks are pet friendly and some have specific areas designated as dog parks
where pets can run free in fenced areas. Baseball diamonds, soccer and football
fields, and tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts are also abundant. Whether
you want to relax, walk the dog, play a round of tennis, or host a picnic it will
be easy to perfect spot for this activity.
Residents of the neighborhood have easy access to Wilshire Boulevard and the Santa
Monica Freeway that both run east and west and the San Diego Freeway that runs north
and south. This makes commuting to other areas in southern California very convenient.
Beverlywood is a community of lovely neighborhoods with beautiful lawns and landscaping,
and welcoming and walkable streets. Take a stroll after dinner and chat with neighbors,
just enjoy the surroundings, or stop at a local bakery for coffee and dessert. The
area maintains a quiet, homey feeling.
